We consider having a Safe space as the basic ingredient for community and successful co-creation. Safe space does not mean that somebody protects us, reconfirms our victim story or solves things for us. Safe space means that we feel safe to honestly be and express ourselves and our feelings. When we are able to do that, we are breaking through our fear based strategies of avoiding pain and getting love and attention, so we don’t need them anymore.
Safe space is a space where we feel respected and valued for who we are. It is a space, where we are allowed to fail as part of the creative process. This way, we open up to limitless creation. We integrate the learning and move forward from there.
Vulnerability is our true strength, and combined with compassion for ourselves and everyone, it becomes the common ground for our way of life. The feeling of being with like-hearted and like-minded people sharing a common purpose provides the empowering, trust-based safety web we all desire.
The values of this category are important to us to provide and maintain this safe space for everyone involved in our activities.
